Where It Started
In 2018, our founder Marcus Webb was running a home services company in Austin, Texas. He was great at the work — but terrible at marketing. He tried every tool on the market: clunky CRMs, expensive ad agencies, email platforms that required a developer to set up. Nothing was built for someone who just wanted more customers without a marketing degree.
The Turning Point
After losing a major contract to a competitor who had a slicker online presence and faster follow-up, Marcus decided to build his own solution. He partnered with two software engineers and a marketing strategist, and spent 18 months building the platform he wished had existed. CrystalBlue launched in 2020 with 12 beta customers. Within 90 days, every one of them had doubled their monthly leads.

Today CrystalBlue serves over 2,000 service businesses and agencies across the United States. We're a team of 34 people — former business owners, marketers, and engineers — who wake up every day obsessed with one thing: helping our customers grow.
